My name is Melanie Perez and I was part of the Girls Who Code class of 2015.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I have many hobbies and many interests that are all over there place.
Along with those interests are computer science, environmental science, art, literature, running, basketball, and sociology.
In the future I hope to find a career that incorporates each and everyone one of these interests and if not, most of them.
I am the oldest child of 4. My sibblings's names are: Elmer, Yecenia, and Emily. My mother is from Mexico and my father is from Guatemala.
I like that my parents are from different countries because this allows me to explore different cultures and eat different types of foods.
I will be the first in my family to attend to college and that makes me feel extremely proud and excited. I hope to someday make my parents prpoiud and most importantly myself.
